Unfortunately, I was unable to reach #2 or #3. It appears that the main Elakala trail is dotted along the way, but that’s about it. Three spectacular waterfalls are just a stone’s throw from the Blackwater Falls Lodge. The Elakala Trail begins near the lodge parking area, and after a short stroll through a forest of evergreens and deciduous trees, you’ll reach a footbridge spanning Shays Run. Cross the footbridge and continue along the Elakala Trail for 15 yards or so. Each of the other Elakala Falls get progressively more challenging to reach because there is no official trail and you will have to do some scrambling to get down into the canyon.
